Jess (she/her) serves families on their path to bringing baby earthside with mindfulness and compassion. Her background in client service and coaching, and her training as a yoga teacher, Hypnobabies educator, reiki practitioner and Body Ready Method pro, shape her approach to care.
She believes in the physiological normalcy of giving birth, the natural intuition we all have within us, the power of evidence-based science, and the safety net of modern obstetrics. She is humbled to serve families and births of all kinds.
Since 2015, Sarah Branion (she/her) has served as a Certified Professional Labor & Postpartum Doula and Baby & Toddler Sleep Strategist. She loves supporting individuals and partners while they grow their families from preconception to the postpartum period, getting the support they need as they become parents.
As an experienced Gestational Carrier, she is passionate about supporting families growing through surrogacy & IVF. She is passionate about supporting her clients in achieving their birth goals and has additional training in Spinning Babies and is a HypnoDoula. Around Blooma you can find her teaching Childbirth Education, as a Birth & Postpartum Doula and coaching Sleep Support.
Anna (she/her) has been a postpartum doula since 2016. Following a difficult postpartum period with her first child, she realized there was a deep need for support in the early days and weeks after a baby’s arrival.
Anna brings her experience as an early childhood and parenting educator and training as a doula to provide evidence-based care and information to families. She aims to empower Blooma families with education, self confidence and compassionate care and support as they navigate the highs and lows of parenting. She loves to cook and brings a peaceful energy to your home, postpartum space, and Motherhood Series classes.
Shaina (she/her) has been doing birth work since 2015, after learning firsthand the extreme value of doulas and childbirth education through her own pregnancy. She was inspired by the opportunity to help birthing people and their partners gain the same kind of confidence, peace of mind and new empowering perspectives that she discovered through having a doula’s guidance.
Whether being a resource during pregnancy, or working with clients hands-on during labor and the postpartum period, Shaina relies on her calm, compassionate, caring, upbeat and supportive nature to help her clients find their own voices and power inside the incredible and impactful journey of becoming parents. She has assisted and coached families in all types of settings through many types of births, including VBACs, and several sets of twins. In addition to her work as a doula, Shaina is also trained in Spinning Babies, is a Bradley Natural Childbirth Educator, Reiki Practitioner, & Psych-K Facilitator.
Kirby (she/her) is a Certified Postpartum Doula and dance instructor who has an extensive background in health, education and vinyasa yoga. Kirby brings a calming and uplifting energy to any environment she enters.
She is very outgoing and empathetic which allows her to easily create connections with both children and adults, making families feel safe and comfortable. Kirby takes pride in her ability to pay attention to detail and empower others. More importantly, she truly enjoys being able to create and be a part of a healthy and enjoyable experience during the postpartum period.
Meagan (she/her) began her journey as birth and postpartum doula in January of 2022 and has since been providing compassionate support to families across the Twin Cities. Her approach prioritizes helping clients to listen to their bodies as they navigate the experience of bringing new life into the world. She believes that birth can be an intense and vulnerable time for everyone, and she is fully committed to providing physical and emotional support to her clients. She has obtained her CLEC certificate.
Emily (she/her) is a mother, certified postpartum doula, and intuitive care giver. Her firsthand experience as a mother and ability to “tune in” to new parent’s needs allows her to approach each family with a conscious and informed approach.
As a postpartum doula, Emily is warm, caring and loving with the newborns she works with. She wholeheartedly enjoys spending time with new parents as they rest and recuperate after birth so that they can enjoy the postpartum period. Her empathetic and intuitive nature allow her to be a reassuring presence and hold space for the transformative experience that becoming a parent deserves.
Supported birth and postpartum experiences help parents gain the confidence they need to trust themselves and grow with their child. This is why Emily approaches each day with a mindful mindset of the importance of honoring her clients and treating them with dignity and compassion.
Aleida (she/her) is a certified birth doula, childbirth educator and Body Ready Method pro who found her passion for birth work through her own births.
As a former educator, Aleida is passionate about providing families with evidence-based care and helping them feel empowered in their journey through pregnancy and birth.
At the core of her work as a doula, she firmly believes in the mind-body connection and the natural process of childbirth, while also holding space for modern medicine when it is needed or desired. As a VBAC mama herself, Aleida is especially passionate about supporting others who are navigating pregnancy and birth after a cesarean.
She is deeply honored to serve the families she works with and humbled to be welcomed into the sacred space of childbirth.
Elizabeth has served as a postpartum doula since 2018. She is passionate about building parents’ confidence in themselves as they embark on the next chapter of their parenting journey. Elizabeth takes a holistic, evidence-based approach, making it her priority to ease the anxiety and fear that surrounds so much of postpartum.
Every parent and every baby is unique. Elizabeth loves helping each family find what makes them thrive.
With a background as an RN, Elizabeth has supported a wide range of babies including premature infants, during and after the NICU, and medically complex babies. She brings a sense of peaceful composure to even the most challenging situations. Elizabeth is especially interested in working with LGBTQ+ families.
Hallie is a certified Postpartum Doula and Newborn Care Specialist with a background in supporting families through the delicate early weeks of their newborn’s life, particularly those with babies in the NICU. With her experience, Hallie excels in creating a calming environment for new parents by helping to set up and organize nurseries, establishing postpartum care and pumping stations, and preparing nourishing meals for families. She understands the unique challenge of having a newborn in the NICU and offers emotional support, listening to parents navigating this difficult time. Hallie also assists with light household tasks, allowing families to focus on spending time with their baby.
As a Newborn Care Specialist, Hallie has extensive experience including days, nights, and rotational schedules. She provides comprehensive care that includes basic bathing, diapering, and soothing, as well as establishing daily routines to promote healthy development and age-appropriate sleep guidance. Hallie has a strong background in preemie and NICU support, which allows her to offer specialized care for these vulnerable infants.
Hallie is now working towards her IBCLC lactation support certification, further enhancing her ability to support families in establishing healthy starts for their babies.
