Class Description

HypnoBirthing® – The Mongan Method is as much a philosophy as it is a technique. The method teaches you that, in the absence of fear and tension, or special medical circumstances, severe pain does not have to be an accompaniment of labor.

The HypnoBirthing® program is built around an educational process that includes special breathing, relaxation, visualization, meditative practice, attention to nutrition and positive body affirmations. Most importantly it fosters an air of mutual respect for the birthing family, as well as the health-care provider in a traditional health-care system or an alternative setting.

We recommend starting classes between 20-32 weeks of pregnancy. Our fee includes the birthing person and their chosen support person, and course textbook.
